Our  Vision

Thinking Thursday is a platform for passionate and proactive individuals who hope to bring deep insight, culture, and ideas to the community around them.

Our  Mission

We believe that each person has an authentic purpose and calling that contributes to improving the lives of our peers. Through round table discussions, the arts, community service, and spirituality, we hope to inspire positive change!

Our Location

Thinking Thursday meets weekly at the Flying Horse Center in Germantown.  Join us every Thursday night at 7:00 PM for presentations and round table discussions!

Our Story

"Thinking Thursday was inspired by my dear late friend Art Aurbach. He took me to soup kitchens, service projects, and just simply helped open my eyes to the beautiful heart of Philadelphia.

I owe Thinking Thursday to Art. He wanted me to create a platform where people can share their passions, talents, and insights freely.

Through him, I realized my passion is to create spaces and platforms for other people’s passions. That is how Thinking Thursday came to be.

In the last six years, there has been a variety of people and topics that we talked about. We expressed our different perspectives and maybe had some disagreements. However, there was always respect towards each other.

I hope for Thinking Thursday to become an open platform for people of different backgrounds, cultures, and thoughts to come together".

"A close friend of mine named Art Aurbach and he inspired me to keep investigating the highly spiritual and overall meaning of life through the Thinking Thursday platform.

Our presentations are geared to awaken and inspire those hungry to acquire secret and sacred knowledge. We have even included art, literature, and music into our event planning and have at least one poetry reading or concert each month.

I hope that our programs will reach out into the community to bring more people to enlightenment, joy, and fellowship. I was born in Germantown. This is my hometown.

If Philadelphia is the place where America began, then Germantown is the heart of the nation! That spirit lives in me. I am thrilled to bring these programs, presentations, and recitals to this community, and I am planning to continue".
