Hello! For the past few days, I have been working on a painting project for the school. I want to paint the surrounding walls of the school white and decorate them with fun pictures! This was a very spontaneous idea for me. However, something I learned from Thinking Thursday and Trash Talk is to really follow through with any idea especially if it's an idea to help others. I bought primer and paintbrushes, and I just got to work. I'm so glad I decided to go through with this idea because it has been so much fun! The students have been helping me when they can, and it is my own special way of connecting with them outside of class. In class, they are all usually talking to me all at once because they are so excited. Here, I enjoy getting to know a few of them during painting and taking care of them individually. I see this project as my final gift to them before I leave in a few weeks. Every day after their exams, the students come racing down to the courtyard to come paint, and I never have to worry if I'll be able to finish in time.
